Our week was fantastic! We had three investigators at conference this week-end. One of our investigators went to four of the five sessions ... and loved it! We taught him the word of wisdom this week. He said he is not drinking and gave us his cigarettes, too. He is so excited and happy about all of this and he loves us so much!
The session when the prophet spoke, after conference, he told us that last speaker really touched me! We were like that was the Holy Ghost telling you that he really is a prophet and the things of which he spoke are true. He was just so happy.
We are continually working hard trying to find people to teach about Christ. I love being a missionary! Its the best thing in the world ... to be able to see that change come over the people that we are teaching... as they come to realize these things are true. There is no greater joy!
There were a lot of amazing talks at General Conference this year. I loved Uchtdorfs and Hollands quote, "If the bitter cup does not pass, drink it and BE STRONG!" It was amazing!
"Believe in miracles. I have seen so many of them come when every other indication would say that hope was lost. Hope is never lost. If those miracles do not come soon or fully or seemingly at all, remember the Savior’s own anguished example: if the bitter cup does not pass, drink it and be strong, trusting in happier days ahead."--Elder Holland
